It's really important to spend time with the people who love you for you. Invest this time in yourself and your friendships. It will lift your spirits and taking that time to build yourself up will make you a better mom, wife, girlfriend, etc.
2. Let go of the guilt
Nope you can't do everything and you can't please everyone! I know, we try but it's just not possible and you'll make yourself miserable in the process. Work on saying NO and not feeling guilty. Work on accepting that you can't control how others feel. Do your best to be a kind and thoughtful person, not much more you could ask for.
3. Take time for yourself
Really need a mani? Do it! Sure you could spend that $15 on something more "responsible" but hey you're worth it! I guarantee if you put even just a few minutes of thought into it something you'd really like to do for yourself will come to mind. Like Nike says Just Do It! :)
4. Make a home cooked meal
I completely understand the need to go for the quick and easy options most of the time. I've noticed though that when I actually drag myself to the grocery store and make some real yummy food it makes me kinda happy! For example on the weekend I was house sitting for my parents. They were coming home just in time for dins on Sunday so I made a roast chicken, veggies and potatoes. I was SO proud of myself and it was super easy. Plus I'm sure it earned me at least one or two good daughter points!
Do any of these land on your own pick-me-up list?

Wow! #2 hit me hard this morning. I was just talking with a girlfriend about this yesterday but something about seeing it all typed out here was an eye opener! Thanks for the reminder! Hope that you have a beautiful weekend!
I loved this!
I totally agree with Sarah, #2 is rough! It's definitely something I need to be better at.
I love this post- I made time last night for #1, #3 (DIY mani) & #4 (still working on #2!) $15 for a mani? That's so cheap! I usually pay at least $25-30!
This was a really great post for me to read, especially given my stressful week. These are great ways to just take a breath and recharge : )
